Investigators utilized license plate readers to track a silver Chevrolet pickup truck registered to Negron as it traversed Kentucky and ultimately arrived in Palatka, Florida. The trail led them to the Quality Inn & Suites Palatka Riverfront Hotel, where authorities ultimately located both Negron and the teenager.
