White sox send young stars to spring training

Four talented young players from the Amateur City Elite 13U team got the chance of a lifetime when they joined the Chicago White Sox at spring training. James Nash, Parker Jones, and their teammates woke up, trained, and slept alongside the pros, immersing themselves in the daily routines of the big league.

Major league experience at a young age

For James, the highlight was catching with the MLB catchers, feeling like he truly belonged among the elite. Parker echoed similar sentiments, thrilled to be part of the team on the field. Their experiences not only boosted their confidence but also provided invaluable exposure to the rigors of professional baseball.

The ACE program, founded in 2007, aims to help young players progress to college-level baseball. With a focus on year-round training and competing in national tournaments, the program has grown significantly, with dedicated coaches and parents working together to hone the skills of these rising stars.

White Sox director of ACE and Community baseball Programs Troy Williams praised the chosen few, crediting their hard work and training for their selection.
