Raiders sign linderbaum, retain stokes, nailor amid offseason overhaul

The Las Vegas Raiders jolted their struggling offense into action Monday, agreeing to a three-year, $81 million contract with three-time Pro Bowl center Tyler Linderbaum, according to a person with knowledge of the deal.

Raiders bolster o-line with linderbaum, guarantee $60m

Linderbaum's pact, at $27 million per year, makes him the highest-paid interior offensive lineman, per overthecap.com. His guaranteed $60 million eclipses the $20 million and $23 million guarantees for corner Eric Stokes and wideout Jalen Nailor, respectively.

Las Vegas also retained Stokes with a three-year, $30 million deal and inked Nailor to a three-year, $35 million contract. All three agreements are pending finalization, with the parties speaking on condition of anonymity.

The Raiders' aggressive free agency push comes as they rebuild an offense that was decimated by injuries and subpar play last season. The team allowed a league-high 64 sacks and finished dead last in rushing yards per game (77.5) and attempt (3.57).

Left tackle Kolton Miller, the Raiders' best lineman, played just four games before landing on season-ending injured reserve with an ankle injury. With Miller expected back and Linderbaum joining the fold, Las Vegas now has two significant pieces to build around.

Pro Football Focus rates Linderbaum the fifth-best center among 40 at that position. The Raiders also get back third-year interior lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson, who has battled injuries and inconsistency but has a high ceiling.

With guard Alex Cappa recently released, Powers-Johnson is primed to take hold of the guard position.
