Manchester United have identified Atalanta midfielder Éderson as a potential recruit to fill the void left by Casemiro's departure. The 26-year-old Brazilian is valued between €40m and €50m (£35m to £45m) and has caught the eye of Red Devils director of football Jason Wilcox.

Éderson's profile gains attention

Éderson joined Atalanta in January 2022 from Salernitana, having previously played for Cruzeiro, Corinthians, and Fortaleza. The Brazilian international made his debut for the national team in a friendly against Mexico in June 2024 and has since earned three caps, the last of which was a 4-1 loss to Argentina in March 2025.

Manchester United are keen to sign two new midfielders this summer, with Éderson's contract expiring in June 2027. The club has also drawn up a list of alternatives, including Real Madrid's Aurélien Tchouaméni (£70m), Brighton's Carlos Baleba (£50m), Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton (£60m+), and Newcastle's Elliot Anderson, who may only entertain offers above £100m.
