Blackhawks snap losing streak with win over kraken

The Chicago Blackhawks snapped a five-game skid with a 4-2 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night.

Sacha Boisvert found the net for the first time in the NHL with 5:42 to play, giving Chicago a 3-2 advantage. Tyler Bertuzzi scored his team-leading 32nd goal and Teuvo Teravainen and Ilya Mikheyev also tallied for the Blackhawks.

Arvid Soderblom made 25 saves for Chicago, while Connor Bedard chipped in with two assists to boost his team-leading total to 41 points and 199 for his career. The win snapped the Blackhawks' playoff elimination and gave them a small taste of success amidst a disappointing season.

Seattle, meanwhile, remains in the hunt for a wild-card spot with 75 points. But the Kraken have lost four straight and just 5-12-2 since the Olympic break, leaving them with work to do in their remaining seven games.
