The Queensland One Nation MP, a staunch ally of Pauline Hanson, provided a 23-minute interview where he initially dismissed claims of a ‘false flag’ operation, only to later state he lacked ‘data’ to rule it out. Roberts’ comments, made during a YouTube discussion, have already drawn condemnation from within the government and Jewish community.

Initially, Roberts deflected questions about a potential royal commission, accusing Prime Minister Albanese of tolerating antisemitism. ‘So, what was the question? Oh that’s right, false flag,’ he stated, claiming he ‘doubted’ the veracity of such a scenario. The interviewer’s observation about ‘suspicious’ activity following the attack further fueled the debate.

Roberts countered, arguing that a lack of definitive evidence shouldn’t preclude considering potential manipulation – citing instances of alleged government orchestration during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, he immediately pivoted to discussing the Israel-Palestine conflict, seemingly attempting to shift the focus.

‘You have to understand the terminology that Senator Roberts used in that interview is not, is being taken completely out of context,’ Hanson stated firmly.
