A brazen burglar was caught red-handed stealing a package from a Baltimore resident's porch in broad daylight, thanks to a doorbell camera.

The video, shared with CBS News Baltimore, shows a woman emerging from what appears to be a white delivery van and snatching the package from the front steps of a home on South Macon Street in the Greektown area.

Neighbor Derrick Simpson, who witnessed the theft, said the stolen item was a birthday gift for a family member. 'Sometimes you'll get packages delivered, and you'll sit and watch Amazon, and they will tell you it got dropped off, and by the time you get to the front door, it's gone,' Simpson lamented.

The package's owner, who wishes to remain anonymous for safety reasons, reached out to police and provided the surveillance footage. The neighbor hopes the thief will be apprehended and warned others not to commit similar crimes.

'Don't do it again, you will get caught,' the neighbor urged.
