Cbs la joins forces with nami to raise awareness, funds

CBS Los Angeles has partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) for its annual fundraiser, NAMIWalks Greater LA County.

Keynote speaker jordan chiles to open 3k event at la state historic park

The walk, set for May 16, kicks off at 9 a.m. following a morning of registration and a resource fair at 8 a.m.

This year's keynote speaker is Jordan Chiles, a two-time Olympic gymnast and best-selling author.

NAMI is celebrating 40 years of service in Los Angeles County and expanding its support groups to Mandarin, Armenian, and Filipino communities. The nonprofit has also doubled its outreach in local high schools and colleges.

NAMI, the nation's largest grassroots Mental Health organization, aims to raise awareness and provide support to millions affected by mental illness. With over 600 local affiliates, NAMI works tirelessly to build better lives across the country.
