Knicks dominate nuggets, murray injured in blowout victory
New York Knicks surge to a decisive 142-103 victory over the Denver Nuggets, a resounding win overshadowed by an injury to All-Star point guard Jamal Murray. The loss marks Denver's largest of the season, both on the scoreboard and in terms of personnel.

Anunoby's 34 points power knicks to rout, murray sidelined
OG Anunoby’s 34-point performance propelled the Knicks to a dominant win, but the victory came at a cost. The Nuggets, already attempting to reintegrate their starting lineup after a brief hiatus, suffered a significant blow when Murray left the game with a sprained left ankle in the first half. The injury occurred when Anunoby drove to the basket, drawing contact and stepping on Murray's foot.
The game saw a flurry of activity, with the Nuggets briefly fielding their full lineup – including Aaron Gordon, returning after a hamstring injury, and Cam Johnson, back from a sprained ankle – for the first time since November 12th. Gordon initially provided a spark, but the team then experienced a frustrating stretch of 17 consecutive missed three-pointers. Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 38 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Knicks' offensive firepower.
The challenge on a foul call that led to Murray’s injury proved pivotal. Coach Mike Brown successfully challenged a charge call against Anunoby, resulting in a blocking foul assessed on Murray and free throws for the Knicks, extending their lead to 65-42 at halftime. Murray, who had been in excellent form with recent 45- and 28-point games, managed only 12 points before the injury.
The 39-point loss ties the Nuggets' biggest defeat of the season, previously suffered against Chicago in 1998. The Knicks begin a five-game road trip starting Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Nuggets will travel to Oklahoma City on Monday.
