Hit-and-run driver sought in deadly 2023 crash
Los Angeles police are intensifying their search for a driver who fled the scene of a hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of 24-year-old Taylor Jackson in November 2023. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on November 14th on Arlington Avenue, near Venice Boulevard.

Driver fled scene after fatality
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), a black 2015 or newer four-door Infiniti was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck Jackson and another pedestrian. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The other pedestrian, a 25-year-old man, was uninjured.
Surveillance footage released by the LAPD shows the vehicle involved in the crash. The footage, available on the LAPD's YouTube channel, offers a clearer view of the car and the moments leading up to the collision. Police have also released still images of Jackson.
A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver. West Traffic detectives are urging anyone with information to contact them at (213) 473-0234. The case underscores the devastating consequences of reckless driving and the importance of accountability.
The speed at which the Infiniti was traveling suggests a deliberate disregard for pedestrian safety. The driver's decision to flee the scene further compounds the tragedy. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the enduring pain left behind by such senseless acts.
The investigation is ongoing, and the LAPD is confident that the driver will be brought to justice.
