Cindy Desser, who worked for two different home Health agencies in the region, is charged with child abuse and endangerment related to incidents involving a 1-year-old in Delaware County and another child in Bucks County.

Video surveillance captured in May 2025 prompted the police to investigate after the child's parents reported seeing Desser apparently slam the infant into her crib and push her down again when she sat up.

A lawsuit filed by a Delaware County family alleges that Desser was assigned to care for their daughter, born with severe Health complications requiring around-the-clock attention. The suit claims Desser was often found asleep during medical alerts and failed to take necessary vital signs.

Attorneys for the families affected urge other parents of medically fragile children to come forward if they suspect similar abuse, warning that there may be additional victims.
