Former denver metro cop indicted on multiple sex crime charges
A former police sergeant in the Denver metropolitan area has been formally charged with multiple sex crimes dating back to January.

Former sgt. troy brienzo faces indictment
Brienzo, who was recognized by the CCV Rotary Club of Parker in May 2022, is accused of two counts of unlawful sexual conduct by a peace officer, one count of unlawful sexual contact, and four counts of official misconduct.
The investigation into Brienzo's alleged misconduct began in January after an incident, leading to his placement on administrative leave. He subsequently resigned from the Parker Police Department in February.
The case was turned over to an outside agency, which filed the charges with the 23rd Judicial District Attorney's Office. A grand jury returned an indictment on April 3.
In a statement, the Parker Police Department said it is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation and remains committed to transparency, accountability, and maintaining trust within the community.
