Cult leader's daughter breaks silence on 'free love ministry' abuses
Deborah Green, the charismatic leader of the Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps, forced her followers into a twisted 'free love ministry' in California, claiming she was a vessel for God. But behind the religious facade, she was a controlling, cruel sadist.

Daughter's harrowing escape
Her daughter Sarah recounts a terrifying upbringing, during which she witnessed her mother's abuse and manipulation of the women in their community. Green would punish her followers for perceived sins by locking them in a shed, forcing them to wear sackcloth dresses and renounce their former identities.
One of the victims, an old Family friend named Maura, was made to live with the children, but was forbidden from even disciplining them. When Maura refused to beat her kids, Green deemed her a sinner and had her punished further. Sarah, just a child at the time, smuggled food to the women in the shed, horrified by the cruelty.
Sarah eventually realized the cult's harsh rules extended to her own life. She was forbidden from having her own children, despite her mother's 'free love' teachings. It was only when Sarah left the cult that she discovered the full extent of her mother's abuse and control.
Now free from the cult, Sarah is speaking out publicly for the first time, hoping to help others who may have similarly traumatic experiences. She warns that cults often mask their true nature with charismatic leaders and appealing ideologies, and urges people to trust their instincts and seek help if they suspect abuse.
