Erubey Zunun Roblero, 34, was driving his wife, Jacqueline, and their brother home from errands when a driver in a white delivery van veered into their pickup truck. According to Aurora Police, the driver, Chad Gow, 34, is now facing multiple charges related to the crash.
Roblero recounted the harrowing moment, stating, "I was going, not even 10 miles per hour, when I felt the impact on the right side." He described the scene as instantly catastrophic, with his wife trapped within the vehicle. “I look at my brother, and I ask him if he’s okay, and he says he’s okay, and I look at my wife, who is trapped between the door and the seat.”
Paramedics arrived swiftly, but the damage was extensive. Jacqueline Roblero suffered critical fractures, requiring immediate surgery. The couple had been anticipating the arrival of their fourth child, just months away from welcoming a new member to their Family. “The next day [the doctors] told me the baby no longer had vital signs,” Roblero shared, his voice choked with emotion. “My wife felt awful, very awful.”
