This stems from an alleged incident on September 5, 2023, at Bondi Beach, where Ghost reportedly suffered a medical episode and shared a bath with MacInnes to warm up. MacInnes insists this situation was entirely innocuous and that she never voiced discomfort or retracted any complaint.

But Wilson maintains she was deeply troubled by MacInnes's initial disclosure and promptly alerted Simpkin, whom she described as a “very responsible” producer. Simpkin’s role has become increasingly significant as the trial progresses, particularly her actions following Wilson’s disclosure and the subsequent fallout.

Simpkin's actions: eviction and a shifting narrative

The court previously heard that Simpkin orchestrated MacInnes’s removal from an apartment she shared with Ghost and others during pre-production. Initially, Simpkin informed Ghost that MacInnes was being asked to leave at Wilson's request, citing a need for space by the beach. However, the details took a sharp turn when MacInnes’s agent contacted Simpkin to “mend this misunderstanding,” explaining MacInnes’s version of events and vehemently denying any discomfort with Ghost, whom she apparently “respected and idolized.”

Simpkin, in turn, forwarded the agent’s email to Ghost, noting a clear divergence between MacInnes's account and Ghost’s.
