In a statement, the union emphasized the importance of treating every airline worker with dignity and respect, adding that the detained attendant and their family would not be alone during this challenging time.

CBS News Texas has reached out to ICE and Southwest Airlines for further information but has received no response yet. TWU Local 556 declined to provide additional details in their response to a request for comment.
