One vehicle, identified as exiting the Bishop Ford Freeway at 115th Street, quickly became untraceable, with occupants fleeing into the surrounding neighborhood. The inbound Dan Ryan was immediately closed as far north as 87th Street, creating a significant bottleneck. Illinois Department of Transportation officials confirmed that all lanes were fully reopened by 5:40 a.m., with the damaged vehicle removed from the roadway.
