Armed man spotted on palos verdes hiking trails, arrested by deputies

A concern citizen's call to authorities led to the arrest of a man armed with multiple firearms and body armor on a Rancho Palos Verdes hiking trail.

Armed man detained after spotted on trail, deputies say

Los Angeles County deputies apprehended the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Glendale resident Sean Steiner, following a report of an individual acting suspiciously.

Deputies from the Lomita Sheriff's Station responded to the call, locating Steiner near the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes. He was seen running through traffic while carrying a rifle, duffle bag, and step stool, all while wearing rifle-rated body armor and gloves.

A search of the area yielded a loaded revolver, a short-barreled semi-automatic rifle with Joker-style phrases, two additional handguns, high-capacity magazines, extra ammo, and the ballistic vest.
