A memorial dedicated to the late bald eagle Jackie has been relocated to Fawn Park in Fawnskin, California, after her August 10 passing. The permanent tribute, initiated as a roadside memorial, now serves as a space for the community to honor and remember the raptor who captured many hearts.

Fawn Park CEO and owner Mike Wayman stated that the memorial's purpose is to provide a lasting, ongoing area for people to pay their respects to Jackie. The community's sentiment is clear, with individuals traveling from afar to pay their condolences. Fawnskin, where the famous eagle's nest is situated, has been revitalized by Jackie's death, bringing attention back to the often-overlooked area.

Local florist Alixandrea Lara has been extremely busy fulfilling orders for Jackie's memorial, with the Big Bear Valley community sending an abundance of flowers, handwritten notes, drawings, photos, and trinkets. Lara expressed the touching impact of the outpouring, stating, "You can just tell she was so loved from everywhere."

Connie Castro, a visitor to the memorial, shared her fondness for Jackie, citing the eagle's nurturing nature as depicted on the Friends of Big Bear Valley nest cam. Castro plans to continue watching the cam to witness the next chapter.

Wayman announced upcoming memorial events for Jackie on September 5 and 26 at Fawn Park, inviting the public to share memories, stories, and pay tribute to the beloved Big Bear eagle.
