Michigan celebrates title: parade, festivities planned for championship team

A route through campus history
The parade, commencing at 10 a.m., will wind its way through the heart of Ann Arbor, beginning at the President's House and proceeding down State Street before culminating at Yost Ice Arena. City officials will begin closing streets along the route at 8 a.m. to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the anticipated crowds. Parking structures around campus, including those on Thompson, Maynard, Thayer, and Forest Avenue, will be available.
But there's a detail often overlooked amidst the excitement: ticket access to the main celebration at Crisler Center. Reserved seating for the Champions Circle event, kicking off at 1 p.m., is priced at $30 for the upper bowl and $75 for the lower bowl—all proceeds benefiting Michigan's student-athletes. Student tickets are available for $20, granting access to the Maize Rage section.
The Athletic Ticket Office is operating on a tiered system. Eligible students, season ticket holders, and donors with 500 or more priority points will receive ticket information via email starting at 9 a.m. Thursday. However, the university has announced a general public sale will occur at 5 p.m. Thursday on MGoBlue.com/Tickets, but availability is expected to be limited. Doors open to ticketholders at noon on Saturday. The team's return to Ann Arbor Tuesday afternoon was met with an enthusiastic welcome at Crisler Center, a preview of the larger celebration to come.
