Michigan celebrates historic ncaa basketball title

A parade and celebration honoring the 2026 University of Michigan men's basketball national championship team will take place this Saturday in Ann Arbor. The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. with a parade through the city streets, starting at the President's House and ending at Yost Ice Arena. Fans are encouraged to line South University Drive outside the president's residence and proceed down State Street.

The parade route will be closed to traffic at 8 a.m. Parking options in the area include structures on Thompson, Maynard and Thayer streets, as well as Forest Avenue. Reserved seats for the indoor celebration at Crisler Center are available for $30 in the upper bowl and $75 in the lower bowl, with proceeds benefiting the Champions Circle, supporting Michigan student-athletes.

Student tickets, priced at $20, grant access to the Maize Rage section. Ticket information will be sent via email starting at 9 a.m. Thursday to eligible students, season ticket holders, and donors with 500+ priority points. A general public sale may follow pending availability, with tickets available at MGoBlue.com/Tickets. Doors open at noon for ticketholders.
