Charlotte's cucumber spider caper
Forest bathing was the plan, but Mother Nature had other ideas. A sudden squall drenched the group of mindfulness-seekers, forcing them to hug tree trunks for shelter. The young leaves of the mature beech grove allowed the rain to seep through, soaking their clothing.

Spinning a tale
As the downpour subsided, the instructor suggested they sit on a semi-circle of fallen trunks, inviting them to feel the texture of the feather moss cushioning their makeshift seats. It was then that Charlotte spotted the cucumber spider in her hat.
The arachnid's abdomen was a mere 5mm, but its vibrant yellowish-green hue with a distinctive red mark below its spinnerets made it stand out. Charlotte offered her finger, and the spider obligingly stepped onto it. It climbed up her hand, tracing the contours before leaping to her sleeve.
Its cryptic camouflage made it nearly invisible against the black fleece, until it found its way back onto Charlotte's finger. She guided it onto a low branch, where it blended seamlessly into the beech foliage.
