[Recent local NPR public service announcement produced by college student interns]
In other news …. this just in … a WUFT NPR special exclusive …
Get to know your local law enforcement officials!
You are cordially invited to attend one of several DUI checkpoints in the vicinity of the University of Florida tomorrow night between 10:00 p.m. And 4:00 a.m. hosted by the County Sheriff’s Department.
Come as you are, but you are encouraged to bring your driver’s license and you may find the receiving line a little slow going … , so bring your iPod or Kindle to while away the time while in line. Everyone will get a very special personal welcome and the full attention of one of many of these under-appreciated public servants.
Be advised that no refreshments will be served, but this is a rare opportunity to speak one-on-one to our local law enforcement officers in a venue in which you are sure to be heard.
Party games include: alphabet recitation, spelling bees (your name and address, telephone number) on the spot videos of you and all the fun, balance and vertigo games and much much more.
So, Go Gators, this is a vibe not to be missed!
